Pregnancy Journal: 7 Months & Counting! Farewell Bangkok...You will be Missed!

Metamorphosis...

anxiously awaiting a sweet baby girl.. Posted by Hello

At long last, my belly button has popped out. Actually "popped" is too strong of a word for what's happened here. It's more like it's puckered up and is desperately straining to kiss the inside of my shirt. I notice it as I walk down the street, checking myself out in shop windows. It's a habit I continue even though it's clear that the season for vanity is long gone. By most standards, I'm having a great pregnancy. Minor aches and pains, but no real complications to speak of. But every once in a while there's a crazy woman in my head who screams, "What were you thinking? Look what's become of you! You move like something out of Planet of the Apes. You're too winded to walk and talk at the same time. There's a strange life form growing inside of you! This is a bad idea! What made you think you could pull this off?" Physically, I am starting to get uncomfortable. I am hoping maybe it's just a faze thing, but I have a feeling that I am going to have to learn to deal with this for the next few remaining months. I have gotten to where I can't stand things to confine my belly, thighs, or butt even my maternity pants. This sort of thing never bothered me with the boys, but it sure does now. I think it has to do with how high I am carrying this time and Diantha's in "Breech" presentation. I have the "pregnant walk," and I really look so funny!. I am big nowadays, and I am going to get even bigger, but I just feel so huge right now. I hope to get adjusted to this. I can't imagine being this uncomfortable for the next few months. My nose is now noticeably bigger (sisterette Nila, even noticed it during our Farewell party here in our place)...I can already feel that my hands, feet and fingers are swelling...ahh, the not so nice things of being preggy...hahaha. My armpit looks even darker and so are some lines from my neck and belly.

Feeling so Blessed!

It is also almost time to go back to Manila and it's been awhile since I last posted in my Journal . So many things happened the past weeks. The couple of them I've been so busy preparing all our things back home and I feel some kinda stressed out but everything's still under control. I do feel a little overtaxed physically, but emotionally, I am doing really well. I love feeling the baby move, so whenever I feel stressed and worn-out...I lie down on my left side and feel her move and enjoy them for awhile...I am getting really excited about having a daughter to go along with my 2 sons. It feels like it's the perfect balance, and I am so blessed to have it.

OB Appoinments (Previous & Last in Bangkok) :

I had another level II sonogram last March 7 . It was wonderful. Diantha's still a girl. *Laughs* I cant believe how worried I was that they were going to say "oh no, we were wrong -- there's a penis". But, they didn't!! The Labial folds were even more prominent now than they were 2 months ago and this time we really prepared our VideoCam to capture the girl area! *Laughs again*. My baby's so active, too. I couldn't believe how much she move!! I actually felt, and saw a kick from her while doing the scan, too!! That was really neat. She punched out her left hand and the Doctor performing the scan even got a picture of the scene as I saw it on the screen at the same time I felt it. That was one of the neatest things. Being able to see what your feeling. We even asked if he can give us a closer look of her face and maybe a picture of it too, and he did...It was awesome to see her sweet little face inside even through a not so clear picture. It looks like Diantha's presenting as a breech, and my amniotic fluid is quite high from the normal. But in that case, that will probably help Diantha move around and later on change her position. I could tell that she was breech, because I kept feeling lots of ticks and tickles down in my groin area. Dr. Prakrit also told me that she weigh a week more for her stage and that adjusted my due date from June 6 to a week earlier on May 30...By the way, Denise came out "Breech"...will Diantha follow her Papa's way out...hope not!

I also had a regular OB checkup right after my sonogram and this time, it's my last with Dr. Anong since we are already leaving Thailand for good. I also need to come every other week in the Philippines after getting a new OB since I am already venturing into my final trimester. Before the start of this pregnancy, we planned to have a CS Delivery but as we discussed that matter with my OB here in Bangkok and made us think twice and now we can't decided which way to go...think we'll just settle this in Manila with my new OB. My last appointment went really well. I started cutting down my Carbo intake as advised on my last check-up and it really was and still so difficut specially if you're feeding 2 boys at the same time! I can't help not to binge a little more while waiting for the boys to finish their food. I've been gaining extra pound every month but I hope the next few weeks will show us some progress. My GTT went back normal, thank God!...so I really don't need to worry about my sugar or any gestational diabetes problem...it's that just, my fluid is a little higher than the normal and I just need to control taking so much Carbo. My blood pressure was really good too, only 110/70. I also discussed the pain I've been experiencing in between my pelvic bone most especially if I stand up and sometimes while walking ... Dr. Anong told us that it's normal and I will have to experience it until I deliver. My pelvic bone is now beginning to get stretched and later on will be separated as my due date comes nearer. She also performed a manual check and told us that Diantha's still in Breech.

the Aches & Pains of Goodbyes:

Saying goodbyes isn't that easy really and I really hate it...we bid our farewell to my doctor and we even picked-up my Hospital Records plus the Medical Certificate needed for the Airline going back home. She even asked us to send her Diantha's pictures when she's born.

So, aside from the hectic scheds including farewell parties, Denzel & Dale's school fairs and records to be cleared , the 2-day packing & shipment of our things...wherein we totalled 101 boxes to be shipped back home!whew!!! Somerset's unorganized and enefficient staff (I wondered maybe they're from nowhere!) (grrr)... some scary and strong contractions plus the pelvic bone pain I've been having nowadays, some other moments wherein I feel emotionally & physically drain *laughs*...aside from the fact that I've spilled some gallons of tears while my kids Denzel and Dale bid their goodbyes to their friends, teachers and all that (my eyes' still sore at the moment! *giggles*), and many other things we have to settle before leaving Bangkok for good......everything looks good!!! * Winks * Tomorrow we will be flying to HK and go straight to Shenzhen, China for our 4 - day family holiday before finally going back to Manila, we will be meeting my Kuya Joey to help us during our stay in Shenzhen. Adios Bangkok! We'll surely missed you !!! Hate saying goodbyes but I have to...Thanks for all the "Sweet" and "not so sweet" memories you've shared with my family...See you soon.

To my princess...

I am happy that Diantha's growing so well and doing so well. Hang on Princess...we're almost there!
