Diantha...9 Months after...

February 8, 2006 : Exactly 9 months after Diantha finally arrived in our life and color our world in pink! We celebrated her 9th Month Birthday in a very simple way by having a simple dinner with an UBE - Macapuno Cake from Red Ribbon ( yeah! i know you'll gonna say, WHAT!...ube cake??? eww!...hahaha...that's the same reaction my sons had when they saw it...but I insist. I LOVE IT! period. :)- anyways, Hubby ordered Miki-Bihon Guisado from Aling Lucy's Panciteria in Pamplona. We also had BBQ, Tuna Sandwich, Garlic Rice & Ice Cream. It was only our li'l family that time but we really had a great time. Diantha looked so cool with her Guess White T-Shirt, Carter's Denim Pants embellished with white soft feather , which actually matched to her feathery & starry head- dress which I bought in SM ToyKingdom last December. I found it really adorable!. She also sported her new white shoes accentuated with green, orange & white flowers wherein, during that day when I bought it, it so happened that Diantha's wearing the pair of socks which actually goes with that shoes both from Enfant.

My Jumbo Kingdom Valentine

2005 Valentine's Day, hubby & I celebrated it with a Brazilian touch in FoGo ViVo Brazilian Restaurant in Bangkok. I was 6 months preggy with Diantha then.

This year, we had Chinese with our kids and my Valentino surprised me in 4 wonderful unexpected ways! Allow me to count them:

1. Hubby surprised me by not going to work and stayed home with me on VDay & visited our house being constructed in Citadella

2. @ around 4:30 in the pm Diantha, Me & hubby we're in the bedroom when our housemaid approached me asking me if I ordered some flowers...whoa! a dozen of red roses...it's been awhile! I told hubby not to buy me bouquet of flowers but instead, let me just buy flowers myself for practicality. It's cheaper & I can choose the flowers I like... but hey! sometimes it's also a good feeling to receive something delivered in your doorsteps unexpectedly...

3. I was about to ask him if we can just go to Vivere Suite since we were not able to place a reservation in Jumbo Kingdom, when he asked me & the kids to dress up and that was around 6 pm... I asked him where we are going? then he replied that he had reserved 4 seats @ Jumbo Kingdom for 8 pm.Well, I am impressed...hmmm... anyways, Vivere Suites in Alabang was my 2nd option since I find the place romantic from our first dining experience last 2004 during our 6th Year Wedding Anniv. I not just loved the place (overlooking Laguna de Bay) but I liked the food as well and not to mention the cute stuff toy they compliment their guests.

4. after our Chinese dinner, we had some coffee @ starbucks and he handed me a small white envelope...inside was a gift check! Hurray! I can go shopping!!! Muah-muah-muah!!! Love you Papa...

The Jumbo Kingdom Experience:

Curious of what this floating restaurant in Manila Bay has to offer, I once mentioned to hubby if we can celebrate the day of the hearts at Jumbo Kingdom for a change, but I never thought that he will take it seriously as he did his reservation ahead of time. Sisterette Joan & her hubby Bobby had recently been there as well. Jumbo Kingdom was reportedly costing $600 million and was towed all the way from Hong Kong where it was formerly based.This giant ship which looks every inch like a majestic temple at night with its resplendent display of bright lights is always a sight to us whenever we are in Breakwater to jog or watched the sunset and we've been planning to have some eat at the said place but we never have time to push through 'til then.

It's been awhile since I last wore hubby's Anniversary gift for me last 2004 which is a set of Aquamarine jewelry and it planted a little smile on his face upon seeing them back on me...yeah! I know he's getting tired seeing me with my Tiffany's! hahaha... He on the other hand, looked perpect wearing the brown Guess polo whichI gave him this Valentines as a gift. We tagged along the kids because it's gonna be Diantha's 1st Valentine...a double celebration, that is.

We were seated @ table 313 by a service staff who also act like they’re virtual neophytes. It was fully booked but I didn't find the place romantic for the occasion. No candles nor flowers on the table...and the seats are very far apart from each other ( typical chinese restaurant ambiance). And although this might be our very first time here, we find the food not much to crow about; but my mouth certainly gaped at the expensive pieces of Orientalia ( I love the wooden plate holder & the heavy silver tipped chopsticks) as well as the intricate Chinese sculptures and paintings adorning the whole place. The most cozy spot is the open air roof deck on the fourth floor with a karaoke room , a bar and a bird's eye view of Manila’s skyline and sunset.

Hubby and I both love Chinese food but my verdict is that Jumbo Kingdom is not as good as the other Chinese restaurants we've been so far...well then, that was my VDay with my kids and my Valentino...! Hope you've had a nice Heart's Day as well... Till next Valentines. Stay in Love!

System Down

Well, well...t'was really not a good day...nah, not today but last feb. 8 (last Thursday). I just had a yahoo-chit-chat with sisterette Beth and my old friend, Rizza while trying to edit some pictures. After a while, my notebook stopped responding to my every command. Yes! it hanged up on me! I tried to restart but to no avail. I even, unplugged and removed the batt manually but then when it re-started...I had a "blue screen" (critical status!) . So I rang hubby and informed him of what happened...he then told me to just wait for him and he'll check everything when he gets home. To cut this sad story short...hubby needed to bring my Asus for repair. And sadly, hubby was right when he told me that it might be the hard disk and the worst, it should be replaced. OMG! what about my files??? well, it was just so happen too, that hubby miraculously backed up my files that sunday before this so-called system down...hahaha...at least, not everything was lost...but yet, still unfortunate coz' I needed to wait for my notebook to be repaired and re-install all the softwares...anyways, lesson learn? BACK UP!!!

what a Lavapalooza!

We were having lunch when hubby's cousins: clodette, cor & sol came over. While watching TV , the program showed the "lavapalooza event" happening in four different corners of the country. Cebu, Davao, Pampanga & Manila. All of a sudden, we joked to go and experience the said event! Hubby was hesitant at first but...well, he just can't say no now...4 ladies against 1 man...hahaha. So we agreed to go to Baywalk and leave the kids to Ninang Azon who leaves just a few blocks away from our house.

Time to Party!

We left @ exactly 10 pm. After less than an hour we parked our car at the back of Malate Church. Roads from Quirino Ave., was closed so we have to walk going to the event's venue . There were thousands of people from all walks of life the time we arrived at the said place...I am actually still having this fear of "stampede" because of the recent incident at the Ultra last week. I was very careful, nervous and even tried to convince hubby and her cousins to stay near the Police station, anyways...it would be hard for us to get near the stage at that moment. Hale performed followed by Bamboo. Then afterwards, we decided to move to another spot, this time I am a bit feeling better so I asked them to go near the place where couples are going to kiss when midnight strikes. So walk & move we did! passing by couples & some teenagers wearing nothing but black! (black shirt, pants and even wearing black polish, lipstick, eyeshadow...) that really gave me the creep! plus...they really smell! hahaha...we moved away from them until finally reaching the middle of the street where the kissing pit was. We were just in time to finally find our perfect spot when the countdown started.

Lavapalooza ! Express Your Love with a Kiss...



5-4-3-2-1...all couples kissed! hubby & I kissed...giggles! I never imagined us joining such event! hahaha...what a scene! Fireworks then lightened up the dark night sky...it was so extravagant & colorful! we asked Cor to take some still photographs for keepsake...What a nice experience indeed! It was FUN...and according to the event organizer, this Lavapalooza Craze started wayback year 2003...so it's now on it's 3rd year and this year was the biggest so far. I just saw and heard of this kissing event in the news when we were still in Bangkok and I never really planned nor even imagined to be joining anything like this...and besides, hubby won't agree for sure. But here we are, unplanned and yet, having FUN!

The party ended when the fireworks were all shown and everyone's got captivated by its color. We stopped to take some more photos before finally leaving the streets, then headed to look for some food. We couldn't resist the smell of food in every corners of Malate. Foodstalls were jampacked so we had to wait for our turn. We had sisig, footlong, etc...plus some drinks. I called up Ninang Azon to check on with the kids and glad that they were all sound asleep. We arrived home past 2 in the morning...What a Lavapalooza experience that was!

Sweet 60...

for mama's 60th bday

MIL might not be here with us on her very special day this coming Thursday, the 9th of February (she's in Arizona right now)... her 60th Birthday, yes! she's now "Sweet 60" and she's full of energy, charisma & charm...she's totally a "STAR" for us... (btw, her name Estrellita means li'l star anyway). She's gonna' celebrate her day going to the Grand Canyons with Ate Jehn & her hubby, Kuya Tom. Though it's now zero deg. in that place, we are sure they're still gonna have fun.

For our dearest Mama, we thank you for keeping your star always shining bright upon us ! We miss you so much and the kids can't wait to see you back home...enjoy the Snow!HAPPY SWEET 60...More Birthdays for the coming years...Stay Healthy! Luv Yah!!! Muah...

@ this point in my life..I have been blessed with a very wonderful & loving family whom I still & shall want to have in my next life...God has been so good to me when He introduced me to my dear husband and later on blessed us with our first child, Christian Marc Denzel. After a couple of years, our happiness cannot be compared to anything else when we learned that Dale Christian is happening in 9 months.Then last year, He once again, surprised us when He finally completed my family as Christine Diantha came along. I could never ask for anything more thus to have this family be together ... forever ! Happy Heart's Day...

Job Well Done, Denzel !

My son Denzel now in Grade 2, really surprised us when we received his Automated Report Card for this 3rd grading period...we knew how hard it is for him to adjust from his new school plus the fact that he's not really used to speaking Tagalog & could hardly understand a bit...we also knew that he is really doing his best to fit in and have good grades or better yet, not to fail any of his subjects. Hubby & I together with his grandma, are very proud and happy for the result of his grades this period...this is most especially in the tremendous increase in his Mathematics subject wherein it ascended by 6% !( from 81 now it's 87) We never expected it to be this high...what we just asked of him is to give us good grades but this one is really an excellent performance! Well done my dear boy...and with that , Papa promised to treat you & even buy you a present... ( yayayahoooo!!!) keep it up sweetie...Goodluck for this last quarter. We're so proud of you...LUVYAH... Muah!
